FUSE FOR THE FUSE BOX OXYGEN 1/4 ACETYLENE 3/8

Acetylene and oxygen fuses are used to protect the gas system feeding the regulator from the effects of flame back. It prevents the flow of gas in the direction opposite to the normal direction of flow. In the absence of a fuse, a reversed flame very often causes hoses to burst, and even in extreme situations ignite the regulators and burst the cylinders.
